Passions

Things I do with a passion

I AM A DOER

I enjoy building functional objects, putting things together. I find pleasure in creating a website or a piece of art or mix ingredients in my kitchen to come up with a new recipe.

I feel really fulfilled when I build something in my workshop and then put it to use.

Anyway, I love to always be doing something, learning something new.

    Web Development

I create, build, and maintain websites and web applications that run online on a browser. I also do the web design, web programming, and database management.

    Web Development

Web development, also known as website development, refers to the tasks associated with creating, building, and maintaining websites and web applications that run online on a browser. It may, however, also include web design, web programming, and database management.

Web development is closely related to the job of designing the features and functionality of apps (web design). The term development is usually reserved for the actual construction of these things (that is to say, the programming of sites).

The basic tools involved in web development are programming languages called HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and JavaScript. There are, however, a number of other programs used to “manage” or facilitate the construction of sites that would otherwise have to be done “from scratch” by writing code. A number of content management systems (CMS) fall into this category, including WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, TYPO3, and Adobe Experience Manager, among others.

    Content Writing

Technical writing involves analyzing information and presenting it in a way that's easy to read and understand, even for someone unexperienced with the topic.

    Content Writing

Technical writing is the art of providing detail-oriented instruction to help users understand a specific skill or product.

And a technical writer is someone who writes these instructions, otherwise known as technical documentation or tutorials. This could include user manuals, online support articles, or internal docs for coders/API developers.

A technical writer communicates in a way that presents technical information so that the reader can use that information for an intended purpose.

    Art

The fact that one of the greatest artists (Pablo Picasso) believed that every human being carried the spark of artistic inspiration from childhood is encouraging.

    Art

As we reveal the crucial factors in defining yourself as an artist, we came to the realization that you don’t have to obtain any formal education to see yourself as an artist. You also don’t have to make profitable art or any money as an artist to call yourself one. The recognition of the artistic community, or how you’re perceived on social media, also doesn’t automatically make you a great artist. Whether you make a living as an artist and a full-time creative or work a day job completely unrelated to the art scene and create fine art in your available free time, your artistic identity is yours to mold and define.

However, if you work persistently on your skills and artist brand development, commit to your idea of success, and stay consistent with themes and materials that express your authentic artistic story and vision, you will form the recognizable language and style that will define you as an artist. This will make your art memorable and relatable to a large number of art public, allowing you to earn money and/or reach wider audiences through your art, if you so choose.

    Woodworking

Woodworking to me is the art of creating things out of different types of wood with the help of tools. Pieces that will be treasured for generations — and of course, a splinter here and there.

    Woodworking

As a hobby, woodworking is both relaxing and exciting, and can be very fulfilling as it brings me tons of hours of recreation, along with the satisfaction of creating different things out of wood.

Woodworking is such an awesome hobby and there are so many reasons that I love about woodworking. Everyone has their own particular reasons of course, and mine are very dear to me.

Woodworking is just one of those things that when it gets you, it really gets you. There are just so many different things that woodworking overlaps into that before you know it you’ll find out that you’re doing all kinds of woodworking related activities.

It all start with an idea, perhaps the need of an “artifact” that would fill that corner or a stand for the tablet. When the idea is clear, I head to the computer to spend long hours designing that piece. I look at it from an angle, from another one and then I realize that I need to change that overhang, or that screw cannot go there. With the design I then head to the shop and the building starts, cut, measure, cut, screw, glue, press, sand, over and over until it is all put together and you feel oh!!! doesn’t it look great in the corner where I had envisioned.

    Wood working is a blast!!

    Cooking

The feeling of satisfaction gained when seeing the finished dish enhances happiness. I've done something tangible that can be enjoyed and shared, giving a well-deserved sense of achievement.

    Cooking

Cooking is the art of mixing food to create a flavor for joy. I believe cooking cultivates creativity, activates imagination, it is a way to organize thinking, and to put focus on a goal.

I’m often taken by curiosity when I meet people who don’t give any thought about cooking.  Many people see cooking as a chore and they dread having to do it.  Many people have given up all together and too many people nowadays are eating ready meals and take-outs because they feel that they haven’t got the time to cook but they are losing something very precious.  To these people cooking is difficult, it’s time consuming and the results aren’t worth it.

But, that’s not me. I love cooking and I get great enjoyment from finding new ingredients, combining flavors, making sauces, and accepting the accolades that come with a meal so good that it rivals any restaurant in town.

Food and cooking are my love language.

    Photography

I am not a professional photographer by any means. I see something, that I consider worth it keeping a memory of, or to share it with someone, then I aim and shoot. That's all I do.

    Photography

There are moments, scenes, images, situations that you wish you could re-live. That’s why I take photos, I want to capture those moments so that I can go back to them. A photo can rebuild the moment, it sometimes will evoke smells, sensations, etc. Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.

A photo is a magical thing, it is like a window to the past, or to another world.

There is a quote I once read that really like: “ Look and think before opening the shutter. The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera.
